Hey lovelies,

I've seen many 'Confessions of a Beauty Blogger' Tag and thought I'd have a go of that and a fashion related one, as my blog is to do with both!

1. What was you worst fashion/beauty mistake?
I used to in high school (at the beginning) never blend my foundation in and had "the line". Everyone went there! Fashion wise, until I came into my own skin and made my decisions I probably made a huge load!

2. How long does it take you to pick out an outfit?
It depends where I'm going.
Shopping - about 10 minutes.
Clubbing - about an hour.

3. Where do you tend to shop?
Fashion - Topshop, ASOS, Newlook, H&M and Primark. I like independent brands too but don't tend to shop them often.
Makeup - Superdrug primarily. Sometimes I buy on ASOS as they have an amazing selection of beauty products too!

4. Save or splurge?
I try to save, but it doesn't always happen. You are in town buying a few necessities and walk past Topshop or Superdrug and think "just this one thing" and then I spend a ridiculous amount. Some things you need to spend your money on, like Topshop jeans (they're investments of course!) but I do try to save money when I see a good bargain e.g. buying some vest tops i'll wear a few times - I go to Primark for £2.50 each.

5. What are the most expensive items you own?
Probably my Guess jeans (£155 about 5 years ago) or Jeffrey Campbell Damsel Spikes (£140-£180 I can't quite remember). I've scuffed the front of my JC's which has annoyed me so much!

6. What is your go-to makeup look?
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Ivory
Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Ivory
Rimmel ScandalEyes Mascara
Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Waterproof Powder in Ivory
Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde
Benefit Coralista
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive

7. What items do you wish you could have right now?
I'd have to say La Moda cleated heels (they're perfect), every summer skirt I could possibly find, a white blazer for a party (still not found the perfect one) and Estee Lauder Double Wear or Benefit foundation.

8. What advice would you give to someone learning about fashion and makeup?
Fashion - look online at current trends, see what people are wearing and what is coming into the next season.
Makeup - get your foundation matched!

9. How old were you when you started getting into fashion/makeup?
I first started wearing makeup at about 13 but was wearing what my friends were wearing. I didn't understand you had different foundations for your skin tone/type. I didn't realise for another year or two what was right for me.
For fashion probably a bit earlier, but as I got to about 16/17 I understood that my body type wasn't the complete same as everyone else. I always had bigger boobs than my friends so dresses and tops wasn't as easy to buy as them! Fortunately I've accepted I won't be able to wear things like a bralet (they won't come in my size) and some bikinis.

10. If you could give advice to a beginner blogger, what would it be?
I would say work at your own pace. Don't try to make blog posts for every day as it isn't likely you'll be able to keep that up forever, unless it is your full time job. Schedule posts for future dates and look at other bloggers for inspiration - don't copy and idea, tweak a concept and make it your own. For taking pictures, using your phone can be good enough quality; use natural lighting.

11. What is a confession you'd like to get off your chest?
I don't own any MAC or NARS products. I've never bought anything from Sephora. I don't get freebies all the time and I never expect them. I'm grateful for every opportunity I get and would like my blog to be something I've created myself. I'm proud of buying products from brands I trust and trying new brands and giving my honest opinion. I would love to try lipsticks from MAC and blushers from NARS but I don't have the budget being a student and when I do have a graduate job I will splurge in these types of products. I'm happy where I stand and admire other bloggers who are unique and make their own steps in the blogging world.

I know this is a bit of a different post, but as both a fashion and beauty blogger I thought I'd do a tag to both aspects I love. If you want to do this tag then copy the questions and send me a link to your post!
