Inside My Autumn/Winter Makeup Bag | Guest Post

It's that time of year again, when we wake up and the sky is dark, the air is cold and my makeup bag needs a change around. Gone is the dewy skin look and the bright colours used on my eyes and lips and it's time to welcome the autumnal/winter shades. Around this time of year I love matte skin, bronze eyes and something different on my lips so here's what is in my makeup bag right now.

Would I be a real 'blogger' if the Moprhe 35O ($22.99) wasn't in my makeup bag during the Autumn/Winter months, or if I didn't have an Urban Decay Naked palette (£38.50) in there for that matter? Luckily I'm able to say I have both in my makeup bag. I'm all about the brown, orange and bronzed toned eye looks around this time of year. The Morphe palette is so versatile, it's a must-have in anyone's collection. If I don't have time to do a full on eye look, another one of my go-to eye looks have to be created by the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's (£4.99); they are perfect and again I opt for either a bronze shade or the pomegranate shade which is perfect for this time of year.

For me, the base is the most important part of my makeup, I like my skin to look flawless and I think I've found the perfect combination of products to create that flawless base. Three out of the four products are brand new to my makeup collection but they are now staple pieces that I couldn't live without. My primer of choice is one I actually picked up in Wilko; it's the Kiss Prime of your life primer which costs just £3 and it feels very similar to the Benefit Porefessional in texture and creates a smooth, even layer on my skin which makes applying the Urban Decay All Nighter foundation (£27) much easier.

The foundation is perfect and it leaves my skin looking so matte, which I love for this time of year. I have two must-have concealers. I've been loving the Collection Lasting perfection (£4.19) for the longest time now, I used to be obsessed with this for my under eyes, but I have started using it on any blemishes I may have and just lately, I've had a few! This covers them completely. My under eye concealer of choice has been the Kat Von D one (£20), which is perfect for highlighting my under eye as it is so late, it really helps brighten my eyes, it is, however, a little thick which puts people off.

Now what are the colder months without a darker lip, my go to lipsticks have been MAC Diva (£15.50), which I was afraid of to begin with but I actually really love the shade. It's a stunning red shade which isn't too bright which I love. Another one of my favourites is another one by MAC and that's Smoked Almond (£17.50) which is a stunning brown toned nude. The final lipstick in my makeup bag is a new one by Joan Collins Beauty* (£18) it's in the shade Sabrina and it's a gorgeous berry toned red.

My cheeks are something I don't change around too often, I tend to buy a product, fall in love with it and use it religiously. I was lucky enough to get this bronzer ($14.99) by my friend Emma, who recently went to NYC. It's the perfect bronze shade for my skin tone and again, it's matte which finishes off my matte base very nicely. My blusher of choice have been theBalm's Hot Mama (£15), I just love the shade of this blusher and it is something a little different to other blushes in my collection. It's very peach toned and probably not the best of choices for this time of year but never mind, I love it. For the past few weeks, the highlighter I have been reaching for religiously is MAC Soft & Gentle (£24), although my whole base is very matte, I do still need to glow and this one finishes off my every day go to makeup look very nicely.

Since I received the Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara (£19) for Christmas last year, I've loved wearing it. So this should be no surprise that this is in my makeup bag again. It's just the best mascara I have ever worn and get so many compliments on my eyelashes since I've started wearing it. Recently, I have become obsessed with my Dip Brow Pomade (£15) again, it's just a quick and easy way to fill in my eyebrows. I recently placed an order for some new eyelashes and picked up these by Prima Lash, they are so wispy and natural looking, you can't go wrong with them!
