The new year has rolled around and I not only love showcasing new products but setting up my own wishlist to try out some new items. Early 2018 seems to be highlighting beautiful pinks and stunning shimmers and it's making it hard to not splurge! Here are some of the items I'm lusting over, and a few extras. There are some cruelty-free brands in here too which is always welcomed by me.

Skincare

The first item that really caught my eye of the year was the GlamGlow #GlitterMask GravityMud Firming Treatment that is star-studded glitter mask that peels off to leave your skin lifted and toned. The Urban Decay Drop Shot mix-in facial oil can be added to help blend in your makeup seamlessly whilst providing a dewy and radiant glow. Speaking of glow, the Charlotte Tilbury Brightening Youth Glow is a colour-correcting, radiant booting and skin brightening treatment to blur and smooth the skin whilst reducing redness and pigmentation which sounds perfect for me.

Base

The Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation has been the first foundation people have been speaking about this year, with it claiming 16-hour wear that's lightweight and radiant, providing high coverage that is supposed to look better with each hour. The Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Full-Coverage Concealer is the another All Nighter item to launch along with their setting spray and foundation and looks like it will work really well underneath the eyes. I'm in need of a new primer, and the Benefit Porefessional Pearl Primer looks great. It's a pore-minimising primer that will make the skin look bright and awake with the same texture as the original Porefessional.

Eyeshadow

Nars Narsissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette has been a big release this month and oh boy my am I in love. It includes 12 'high-impact' shadows in a versatile range of pinks, rose golds and nudes that will suit any skin tone. On a similar theme, the Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Longwear Eyeshadow Palette in Scandalust has 7 warm shades from cream to copper to cranberry and they look beautiful. The slimline palette means it's great for travelling too. A luxurious choice is the Tom Ford Soleil Eye & Cheek Palette in Violet Argenté which includes four beautiful eyeshadows and 2 blushers that compliment your look. The sparkly violet shade is absolutely stunning.

Face

I don't tend to use anything other than a yellow or translucent powder under my eyes, but the Becca Under Eye Brightening Setting Powder is really tempting me. It's infused with light-scattering particles to fix your concealer in place whilst helping you look well-rested, even if you've only had 4 hours sleep. The Zoeva Artisto Blush Palette is something I wouldn't normally go for, with two velvet warm orange-toned blushes and a matte highlighter for added glow. The Guerlain Meteorites Blusher - Spring Heart Shaped Collector looks like something a princess would own, with two blushes and a highlighter for a rosy complexion.

Lips

It's still cold outside so the Dior Addict Lip Glow Colour Reviver Lip Balm would be good for this time of year. There are a number of different shades and ensures 'optimum 24-hour hydration'. Kevyn Aucoin The Molton Lip Colours look unreal and I just need to get my hands on them. They are 'liquid gemstone lip colours' with intense pigments to illuminate the lips and there are six shades to choose from. Finally, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Matte Lipstick Set has four mini nude lipsticks in their pretty packaging. The shades are Soft Pink, Kiss, Spice and Dead Roses.

Eyes

I've not tried anything from Marc Jacobs Beauty yet but the Marc Jacobs Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Eye Primer in Invisible is really appealing to me. It's a crease-proof primer with coconut extracts to lock in the colour for up to 12 hours. It would work well with the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow which has a shiny finish with subtle shimmer in it. To finish off a look you could use the YSL Vinyl Couture Mascara which has a lacquer-like fluid texture "as bright as vinyl" with a thick brush which I find best for applying it.

Brows

The Iconic London Sculpt & Boost Eyebrow Cushion was featured by Jamie Genevieve and it looks like an amazing product. It's a two-shade cushion brow compact which provides stress-resistant, long-lasting colour on the brows. I like the look of the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows in Brigitte as it coats every brow hair for defined brows in an instant. For more definition, the Dior Diorshow Brow Styler Ultra-Fine Precision Pencil can be applied for extra volume an personality with the ultra-soft powder texture.

Glow

One of the most exciting items on this list are the Cover FX Glitter Drops. They are glimmering drops that are customisable to what makeup you're wearing, with three shades to choose from with plenty of shimmer and sparkle. For trying out a range of products, The Hollywood Glam Squad by Laura Geller has skin, eye and lip 'enhancers' to get party ready and create dewiness wherever you desire. I've had my eye on the Huda Beauty Winter Solstice Highlighter Palette for a little while and I think it's about time I picked it up, with its four highlighters to light up my cheekbones.
