Hi everyone! My names Beth and I blog over at MissBeautyObsession talking about beauty, lifestyle and sometimes the odd fashion post. When the lovely Laura tweeted asking if any bloggers were interesting in participating in her bloggers series, I jumped at the chance. Some of these questions I get asked all the time through emails and Twitter, especially from new bloggers starting out and it's nice to look back and see where we all started off. I hope you enjoy my post!

1. How did you start blogging? Did anything or anyone influence the decision? How long have you been blogging for?
I remember the day I started blogging very well and it's still all clear in my head. Me and my friend spent ages talking about what it would be like to start a blog and we both finally started one that night. It was quite scary but also exciting. We both set up our individual blogs and I remember spending absolutely ages trying to pick a name until I went with MissBeautyObsession. I'm not sure what made me pick it, but it just sort of fits. Perhaps if me and my friend weren't talking about setting up our own blogs, MissBeautyObsession wouldn't exist. We were talking about YouTube, but I guess that's putting yourself out there more and to start off with I just wanted to get to know the blogging community and feel confident within that before taking any bigger steps! I've been blogging for about a year now and time really does fly by but I'm loving every second.

2. What do you blog about? Is there a particular thing you love writing about the most?
My blog ranges from beauty, fashion, personal posts, places I've been to,  I've even got a cooking one coming up soon. It depends on the mood and what I feel like writing about. I don't just stick to one thing and personally, I don't think I could. I like changing things up a bit and trying out different things. I love writing personal type posts, I don't know what it is I just feel like they are easier to write for me and I'm the type of person that likes to get their feelings out in the open. I bottle things up and then they explode out at one point!

3. Have you learned any new skills from blogging?
I've learnt so many things from blogging that it's a whole new post in itself! I've learnt to organise things better because as a blogger you have to be pretty organised. Not necessarily at the start because I was the complete opposite, but I think the longer you blog, the more you learn and pick up things along the way. I've also learnt that you can't please everyone in this world and there's no point trying. Some people you will never change, and some people just like to pick on things. They aren't even worth worrying about because in reality, they would probably never say it to your face. As I like to call them 'keyboard warriors'.

4. If you had to start blogging about something else, what would you pick and why?

As I previously mentioned, I would definitely blog more regarding lifestyle/personal posts. I like getting my feelings off my chest and out in the open instead of bottling them up as I tend to do way too much. It's also nice to feel reassured you aren't alone and I just find them the easiest to write. In some ways, a blog is a diary. You are in charge of what you say on it and it's so therapeutic.

5. Do you have any advice for people who want to start blogging but aren't sure what to how to or what it involves?

Try and not let the followers aspect of things take over. We all have days where we feel down about our blog and feel like no one is reading or feel uninspired but that's normal and I need to remember this myself. It's not a race, just enjoy every second and take things as they come. Not everyone is nice, you will come in contact with some negative poops and that's the same with life unfortunately, but haters gonna hate but you just gotta shake it off Taylor Swift style ;)

I hope you enjoyed reading my answers - I sure as heck enjoyed answering them! I could chat about blogging for hours on end. If you fancy stopping by my blog, feel free here!

Lots of Love,
Beth x
