It's that time of the month where I've been enjoying some of the latest offerings from this months Degustabox.* If you want to see what I've had in previous months you can check them out here. This month is the BBQ box has quite a few things that I had been thinking of trying so it has been nice to finally get round to having them.

Snacks
I have always enjoyed popcorn as a snack, so when I saw the Butterkist Yoghurt Coated Popcorn (£1.49) I was keen to try this new flavour. You can buy it in a sharing bag or smaller multi-packs which would be perfect snack size options. I wasn't quite sure what to expect the flavour to be like, but I really enjoyed them as a sweet treat with the creaming yoghurt coating making for a mourish and very hard to put down. The other item to snack on were the Destrooper-Olivier Belgian Butters Waffle Crisps (£1.10) which are so smooth and taste fresh like they were home baked and you can tell they were made with quality ingredients. I would definitely go and buy some of these after enjoying them so much.

Meal Items
I love making a good curry and one of the essential items is a tin of coconut milk so to receive this Heinz Amoy Coconut Milk (£1.99) was always going to be useful. I always try to buy this brand as it adds more flavour than some of the others and provides a nice richness to the overall taste of the curry. Being the BBQ box, there was some Schwartz American Smokehouse Homemade Burger Mix (£1.49) which has been designed to help create some tasty juicy burgers. It measures out to create 4-6 burgers, and all you have to do is add the mince, shape them and then grill. What would a burger be without some relish on top? A perfect addition would be the Branston Spicy Tomato Relish (£1.65) which is a great alternative to ketchup and gives some more flavour to your burger.

Speaking of adding a bit more spice into your food, the Haywards Medium & Tangy Silverskins (£1.89) are a really good choice. They are a good option that can be added to any dish and would be particularly at home on a cheese board or BBQ salad. Something that is great to always have in the cupboard are these 4 Sacla Pesto Pots (£2.79). I love adding pesto to pasta or chicken meals as it is so simple but can make such a positive difference to the taste of your food. I like this single serve mini pots as you have what you need and it makes preparing your food even simpler. I love making stir fry and ramen dishes, so noodles are an obvious part of these meals. These Miracle Noodles & Rice (£2.49 each) are a good option as they are a low-calorie choice that are soy free, gluten free, non gmo and Kosher Shirataki. This means there are suitable for people with different dietary requirements so would ideal if you were cooking for multiple people who had different needs.

Drinks & Treats
In the summer, a refreshing drink is exactly what you need. This Zeo Cloudy Lemon (£2.75) juice is made with 98% spring water and is a very low calorie drink with only 28 calories per 250ml serving with a small amount of sugar. This was a really light drink that is perfect to have chilled in the hot weather. It's not the most flavourful lemonade but that goes without saying as it's low calorie and therefore has less sugar in it. Something at the other end of the scale is the Bakedin Mug Brownie (£1.50) which makes one portion of a belgian chocolate brownie that you, as the name suggests, bake in a mug in under two minutes. I would honestly say it's the best mug brownie I have ever had and would be something that will be hard to resist buying again. Last on the list for this months Degustabox are the Smooze Mango & Coconut (£2.50) freeze at home fruit ice's. They are made from natural ingredients including 40% coconut milk and 50% fresh fruit juice and puree and would be great to grab at this time of year. All you need to do is stick them in the freezer overnight and you are good to go. If you are interested in signing up to receive Degustabox, I have a discount code to save you £6.00 off your order, all you have to do is BLDEG15 at the checkout.
