A year or two ago we saw one nineties trend come back that we weren't expecting to - the choker. As a 90's kid I loved wearing the stretchy ones that you pulled over your head to get on and thought I was the coolest girl around. When I walked into Tammy Girl inside BHS I was constantly looking for the next 'trendy' thing to wear. Never did I think aged 23 they would be back in fashion, bigger than ever, with so many different designs and textures to choose from. To tie in with both Halloween and the Autumn season, Johnny Loves Rosie have sent me two chokers to review.

The first choker is the Layla Black Multi-Layer Choker (£20)* which, from the name, is a choker with a black band and a gold chain below it. The gold chain has little purple gems worked around it and ties at the back with a lobster clasp. You can adjust the chain length at the back which was something you didn't see in the 90's as they were all made of stretchy material. I think this choker looks so much more expensive than £20 is on the more fashionable side of neck wear. With gold detailing, I'm definitely going to see a lot of wear out of this in the next few months. If you were going to a Halloween party as a cat or something similar, it would look perfect with a black jumpsuit or dress.

The second choker is the Berry PU Tie Up Choker (£6)* which is made out of faux leather and a more do-it-yourself kind of choker. When you untie it, it's one long piece of PU material which is absolutely perfect as you can do it up exactly how you want it. Without a chain, it means whatever your neck size or however big or small you like your bows, you can customise the wear of it to suit your needs. Since trying this on I'm obsessed with it and I'm already looking for a black velvet version as that would look so cute in Autumn/Winter too.
