Hello Lovelies!

This post has a little story behind it! Aside from the fact that I have new makeup storage (and absolutely adoring it), I wasn't expecting these little bundles of joy. A month into my final year at uni, I check my Facebook and see that a guy had messaged me that I didn't know, saying he had a parcel at his house for me. Yes that sounds so dodgy, but it was in fact a new tenant at my previous student house. We went to pick it up and it was in a gorgeous metal jiffy bag. I was so excited!

Inside was the new Galactica* range by Collection Cosmetics, and I was sent it in August without knowing I was about to receive it, a little surprise for me to review. I am always happy for makeup, let alone surprise makeup!

Here is the collection in full:
Nail polish in Galactic Gold, Shooting Star and Blue Moon
Eyeliner in Solar Ray and Silver Lining
Lip Butters in Moon Rock, Cosmic Candy and Pink Rush

When I saw these nail polishes I thought they were perfect for Winter. Blue Moon is my favourite by far, being a biased lover of everything blue apart from Everton. They are silky upon application and quick to dry. I love the lids of these, with the cute little stars. I'm clearly easily pleased. Nevertheless, they make me want to buy some circa 2011 Galaxy print leggings and eat popping candy. They're adorable and I'm glad I have more metallics to add to my collection. To top it off, they're great to use with nail art pens for over Christmas, using them for little baubles on your Christmas tree nails. Apologies from lack of swatches, but they are very true to colour and finish from the bottle. You can buy them from Superdrug for £3.19 at the moment.

I have an obsession with lip pencils at the moment and when I saw these I was so happy. These come in three shades and the nudest shade is so pretty. I'm a huge hoarder of lip products and have plenty of pink products, so these made me happy! They're easy to apply and wind up from the bottom. From the name "lip butter" they are soft on your lips and nourish them as well as adding a hint of colour. When you're feeling the need for subtle colour that is buildable, this is one of those products you'll consider using. These are £2.99

May I admit that these are my first non-black eyeliners? They are for the daring, but if you're looking at going all-out on your eyeliner, then here is the right selection for you. My lighting is bad on the swatches, but they're lovely and bright and shiny (I sound like a Magpie, but you get my drift). The brush is thin which is great for easy application, hence the 'Fast Stroke'. I've worn the silver once, but am still wary of wearing them out! I think the gold will look better with a warm toned eye look, and silver with a smokey eye. These are also £2.99.

At affordable prices, and shimmery colours, there isn't much to complain about. I'm fussy with eyeliner so it will take some time to get used to wearing a new brand for myself, with the added hurdle of it not being black.
